Start Writing

Here's how it works:

1. Log in or create an account. We cannot pay you when a script sells or gets produced if you are not logged in when you write. Find out more about this, and other Terms and Conditions here.

2. Start your screenplay, or other script, simply by typing in a title and clicking "create script".

3. Type in your dialogue using the six basic ScreenPlay commands, and do not forget to save your work.

If you think a script is complete, drop an e-mail to info@opensourcepictures.com, with the word "finished" in the subject line. From there, our production office gets cracking on the project.

Get creative, and enjoy the site!

Open Source Pictures

The entertainment industry will have a global value of over US$1.8 trillion within three years. Movie-goers spent US$9.21 billion last year at the theatre box office; more than the gross domestic product of Nicaragua and Rwanda combined.

Open Source Pictures has opened the doors to the craft of motion pictures by fostering entertainment development through more collaborative means. Here, screenplays - and other scripts - are able to be edited in their proper formats, just as easily as any other wiki. Whether Open Source Pictures produces a screenplay created on the site, or sells the script to another production company, OSP will split revenue with you, the creators. (More information can be viewed on the General Disclaimer page.)

Now, anyone who wants to take part in the creation of movies (feature-length and short subject), television series, and commercials will be able to do so.

Important Update
